The flexiTOC is a high-sensitivity Total Organic Carbon (TOC) analyzer designed for tap water to ultra pure water applications. The analytical method is based on UV oxidation of organic carbon compounds in aqueous samples to carbon dioxide (CO₂). The generated CO₂ is quantified using a highly sensitive NDIR detector, ensuring excellent detection limits and measurement stability. The system supports reagent-free operation for TOC levels below 2000 ppb and operation with reagent for higher TOC concen-trations and less oxidative substances, depending on the application.
The scheme shows the principle of flexiTOC.
The flexiTOC pro is providing 4 different inlets. The additional software upgrade allows the user to measure up to 3 loops sequentially, and configure the duration of each interval measurement separately.
A sample mode configuration is available, and used to measure separate samples offline. This sequence can be customized by the user.
Optimized UV reactor geometry and harmonized gas flow maximize oxidation efficiency, supported by continuous monitoring.
Initiates alarm in case of inlet flow equal zero, in combination with pressure sensor.
Measurement data can be exported to an external storage device in various formats. Additionally, data can be stored in the cloud via a network connection, and if necessary, shared with customer service for error diagnosis.
A heat exchanger is required for medium temperatures above 50 °C, while a pressure transducer is required if the incoming medium pressure exceeds 0.5 bar.
A complete software overhaul delivers a detailed status overview, presenting general information about the device’s status in a clear and concise manner. This includes operating hours for individual sensors, a pump, and the UV lamp.
The screen and the fan of the flexiTOC is supplied with IP54 protection as standard. The housing protects the flexiTOC from dust deposits and water jets.
Enables reagent and water blank determination as well as multipoint calibration with internal standard dilution for enhanced analytical accuracy.
Software with 21 CFR part 11 conformity for pharma applications ensures secure data handling, electronic records and electronic signatures.

The uniTOC is used for basic to ultra pure water applications (e.g. WFI - water for injection).
The uniTOC operates according to USP 643, DIN EN 1494, DIN32645 as well as EP 2.2.44.
The uniTOC is only suitable for liquid media such as ground, pure and ultrapure water, but not waste water or solids.
The uniTOC covers a TOC range from 2 ppb to 5000 ppb, but can cover a range from 15 ppb to 20 ppm in a so-called "high range" configuration. For higher concentration ranges, the addition of oxidation support reagent is recommended.
The uniTOC is independent of conductivity values, but it is not recommended to use it with solutions with a high salt content (e.g. seawater), as crystallization processes can clog the fluidics and even occupy them.
The uniTOC uses classical oxidation by means of UV radiation. The resulting carbon dioxide is then determined via a selective NDIR detector and the TOC value is thus determined.
The uniTOC is a classic online monitoring system, but can also be used in offline mode for measuring individual samples.
Yes, the uniTOC can be calibrated easily and intuitively under the user's guidance. In addition, the "low range" variant has an SST (system sustainibility test) function.
In addition to the calibration solutions, the pump hose must be changed at regular intervals and a new UV reactor inserted. After a subsequent calibration, the system is ready for use again.
